Paramedics to Dr. Conrad Murray: Way to Not Call 911 Immediately!
A paramedic who rushed to save Michael Jackson's life on June 25, 2009, said that if Dr. Conrad Murray called 911 sooner, EMTs might have had a chance.
Richard Senneff said that on that day, Murray told him he called 911 the second he realized MJ was in distress - a claim others have disputed at length.
Yesterday, bodyguard Alberto Alvarez testified that the Michael Jackson 911 call - which he placed - came well after Murray discovered Jackson unresponsive.
According to the police, the delay was at least 20 minutes.
The case against Jackson's doctor is looking pretty strong at the moment.
Senneff said that if Dr. Murray called earlier, there was a good chance EMT's could have restarted Michael Jackson's heart. But alas, we'll never know now.
Charged with involuntary manslaughter, Murray's defense theory is going to have to be pretty compelling to overcome the state's evidence at this point.
Other key points of the paramedic's testimony Friday:
- The 911 call came in at 12:22 p.m. Seneff arrived four minutes later.
- When he walked into the room, he saw Murray, Jackson and Alvarez.
- Michael Jackson was wearing pajamas and seemed underweight.
- MJ was being moved to the floor by a "frantic" Dr. Conrad Murray.
- Seneff noticed an IV stand with an IV bag hanging on it. He asked Murray what MJ's underlying condition was three times before Murray answered.
- Murray responded that there was no underlying health condition. Given the IV stand in the room and other equipment, this made no sense.

Rival Maccabee Producer: We're Gonna Beat Mel Gibson!

Mel Gibson's Hanukkah movie is in trouble -- TMZ has learned, another company is currently making their own Judah Maccabee film ... and they're racing to beat Mel to the punch.
Sources close to the production tell us, the untitled Judah film -- by producer Bruce Nash and writer Scott Abbott -- was fast-tracked once news broke that Mel was putting together his own Maccabee homage.
We're told Nash believes Mel is the wrong person to helm such an important Jewish story -- telling friends, the Hanukkah tale should be told by someone who has respect for the Jewish community.
As we previously reported, Mel's been developing his J Macc film for 10 years -- and sources tell us Nash has been working on his for 15. Nash doesn't have a shoot date yet, but the race is on.

Glasses Malone Refuses To Rely On Cash Money
'I ain't just trying to take advantage of somebody just because they hot right now,' MC says on 'RapFix Live.'
By Rob Markman

As an artist on Cash Money Records, Glasses Malone has access to some major hitmakers. But the California MC is not quick to take advantage of his multiplatinum labelmates. Instead, Glasses — who just dropped his solo debut album, Beach Cruiser, in August — said he would rather build organic collaborations.
"I have access to everybody. Just to me, our topics be so different," Glasses told MTV News' Sway Calloway during his visit to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday. "Me and Birdman got a lot of songs, me and Wayne got a lot of songs, me and Mack 10 have a lot of songs because our content are more relatable. Drake is really successful, and as an artist, it seems every artist wants to get with somebody that's successful, but I don't look at hip-hop like that.
"I ain't just trying to take advantage of somebody just because they hot right now," he continued. "I want to make great music, I want to make great songs, and right now, me and Drake's subject matter is so far apart: His subject matters tend to deal with more relationships, his success and dealing with his fame in the music industry."
Glasses, on the other hand, makes music that addresses the issues on the California streets where he was raised. On Beach Cruiser, he recruited the likes of Rick Ross, Jay Rock and Nipsey Hussle, instead of more-certified hitmakers such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Malone refuses to get caught up in gossip. When he first emerged on the rap scene, it was Game who gave him the co-sign, but eventually their deal soured. Malone made it clear on "RapFix Live" that he harbors no ill will toward the Compton MC.
"I don't think it's much of a rivalry; I think everybody painted it like that," Glasses said. "It could never be a rivalry: Dude put me in position, him and [his brother] Fase put me in position to be where I am today," he explained. "I don't got nothing to say bad about that dude or nothing about that situation because without them ... I'd still be slinging PCP on 117th."

Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial Begins Jury Selection
Dr. Conrad Murray faces charges he administrated lethal dose of sedatives to Jackson.

It's been more than two years since Michael Jackson's death shocked the world on the eve of the pop icon's planned comeback tour. In the time since, the focus has turned to the King of Pop's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who officials claim administered the lethal combination of sedatives that ended Jackson's life at age 50.
On Thursday (September 8), jury selection began in Los Angeles in Murray's manslaughter trial, which promises to grab headlines for the next month as prosecutors aim to pin the "Thriller" singer's death on a series of actions Murray allegedly took in the hours before Jackson's passing.
No cameras will be allowed inside the courtroom for the trial, which will begin as soon as 12 impartial jurors can be found, a task that will likely be challenging given the worldwide attention Jackson's death generated.
Jackson died on June 25, 2009, after suffering cardiac arrest at his rented Hollywood mansion. The Los Angeles County coroner's office ruled that the 50-year-old singer died of "acute propofol intoxication" in combination with the use of sedatives. Authorities have claimed that cardiologist Murray administered a lethal dose of the surgical anesthetic to chronic insomniac Jackson in an attempt to help him get to sleep. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter last February in connection with Jackson's death and has pleaded not guilty in the case. The doctor is out on $75,000 bail and faces up to four years in prison and the revocation of his medical license if convicted.
After taking care of Jackson and the singer's children in his hometown of Las Vegas, Murray was hired by the pop star to be his personal physician in the lead-up to a series of 50 comeback shows at the O2 Arena in London dubbed This Is It. Murray was by Jackson's side the night he died and has admitted to administering several doses of propofol and other sedatives to his client, but his lawyers have said that the physician did not give the fatal push of medication.
Instead, they reportedly are planning to argue that Jackson — a chronic insomniac who was allegedly addicted to a deadly cocktail of strong sedatives in order to get rest — gave himself the final dose while Murray was out of the room.
According to a Reuters report, in the first three days of the oft-delayed trial more than 480 potential jurors will be brought through the court house. They will be given a 30-page, 117-question survey seeking their past experience with prescription drugs, doctors, celebrities, news outlets, law enforcement and queries about their DVD collections, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Among the questions on an earlier version of the questionnaire: "Have you ever considered yourself a fan of Michael Jackson or the Jackson family?," "Did you ever watch [the Jackson documentary] 'This Is It'?" and "What Internet sites or blogs, if any, do you visit on a regular basis?"
The pool will be cut down to 100 potential jurors who will return for more questioning later this month. The trial is expected to last five weeks, with opening arguments set for September 27.

Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett Music Video Debuts Monday
'Lady Is a Tramp' clip is the second from Duets II, following 'Body and Soul' with the late Amy Winehouse.
By Jocelyn Vena
Tony Bennett just scored his first #1 album with Duets II, and now the legend is ready to drop another video from the collabo project.
On Monday, his video for "The Lady Is a Tramp" — with a blue-haired Lady Gaga by his side — will hit the Web. On the track, Gaga gets a little feisty with the 85-year-old. "I hate California, it's crowded and damp," the New York-native Gaga sings, before Bennett chimes in giggling, "That's why the lady is a tramp."
"My favorite is that Lady Gaga," Bennett gushed to MTV News at the Video Music Awards, where Gaga spent the night in character as her male alter ego, Jo Calderone. "She's the biggest. I'll tell you, I never met anyone with more talent than that lady."
Earlier this month, Bennett's "Body and Soul" video with the late Amy Winehouse debuted. The duo were filmed recording the song together, and the Gaga video will most likely follow suit. Other Duets II collaborations include John Mayer, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey, among others.
Riding high on his new wave of success — including first-week sales of 179,000 copies — Bennett said his career has always been incredibly cyclical. "I'm 85; I just want to tell you, it's a very strange situation," he said. "I always worked live, and ever since 1950, wherever I've played internationally I've been sold out all these years. It's amazing. So the public's been on my side all the time."
What are you expecting from Gaga and Bennett's video? Let us know in the comments!

Chace Crawford -- Pot Case Dismissed!
Filed under: Chace Crawford, Celebrity Justice, Exclusive

Chace Crawford just won a big victory in a small Texas town, after a judge dismissed his marijuana possession case.
Chace was arrested in June, 2010 in Plano, Texas, after cops found an unlit joint in a car in which he was a passenger.
As TMZ first reported ... Chace cut a deal with prosecutors, in which the charge would be dismissed if he stayed clean for one year and performed community service.
We've learned the judge just dismissed the case, after Chace's lawyer presented evidence his client performed 80 hours of community service in Texas, working in a hospital and a church.
Case closed.
Daniel Craig 'Hopes' Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem Join 'Bond 23'
'I'm as excited about this script as I was about the 'Casino Royale' script,' he tells MTV News.

This summer in Montana, while Daniel Craig was promoting "Cowboys & Aliens," the actor steered clear of any casting news relating to "Bond 23," declining to confirm to MTV News long-standing rumors that Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem were getting set to join the action flick.
A few months later, while promoting "The Adventures of Tintin," Craig was in more of a giving mood, letting us know that he's keeping his fingers crossed that Fiennes and Bardem are on set when production on "Bond 23" kicks off in early October.
"I hope so," he said about the two actors. "I hope so."
Bardem confirmed back in February that he was in talks to play a villain in the flick, while rumors have been floating since early in the year that Fiennes was looking to take on an unspecified role. In July, MTV News shot down reports that "Amazing Spider-Man" villain Rhys Ifans had also signed up for "Bond 23," with the actor telling us, "No, I just have a license to kill."
According to Craig, the way "Bond 23" is coming together has him the most excited about the franchise since he took on the iconic spy role years ago.
"We've got a great script this time," he told us. "I'm as excited about this script as I was about the 'Casino Royale' script. I think in Sam [Mendes] we've got the perfect director. The cast is coming together now. I can't wait to get going on it."
Check out everything we've got on "Bond 23."
