Ke$ha Is Channeling 'Sexiness' Of '70s Rock For New Album
Glitter-heavy pop star tells MTV News she's going for 'balls-out, irreverent rock and roll.'

Ke$ha's already got the face paint down pat, and, during recent live sets, she's even taken to guzzling blood out of a human heart, so it should come as no surprise that, on her upcoming album, the pop star is taking things back to the most theatrical era of rock: the prop-heavy, arena-spanning heyday of the 1970s.
Ke$h revealed her plans over the weekend in Los Angeles, on the red carpet of KIIS FM's annual Wango Tango concert, where she told MTV News that the follow-up to her breakout Animal album (and, we suppose, Cannibal too) would be heavy on hard riffs and light on pretty much everything else.
"The next album ... I've been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it's gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," she said. "I've been pretty much in this '70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it."
So, does that mean that fans can expect the likes of Alice Cooper or Peter Frampton to show up on her new album? Perhaps. Because while Ke$ha's new album is still a ways off, she's already begun calling in favors, hoping to line up a killer collabo for the new disc.
"I'm trying, trust me," she laughed. "I really would love to connect with one of my idols, I mean, that's my dream. I'm working on it."

Playmates Defend Hugh Hefner's Sexual Prowess
Hugh Hefner's ex-fiancée Crystal Harris may have trashed his bedroom skills on Howard Stern's radio show -- but other visitors to Hef's boudoir are giving him glowing reviews! While Harris claims that she only had one sexual encounter with Hugh and it lasted "like two seconds," People got the scoop from several other Playmates who speak highly of 85-year-old Hefner's prowess as a lover.
"I've heard girls say they have a lot of fun in there," says Hiromi Oshima (pictured above), the magazine's June 2004 centerfold and the second Japanese-born Playboy Playmate.
"Hef is a lover," agrees Dani Mathers, a Playmate who currently works for Playboy TV. "I think they definitely had sex more than that one time and it wasn't two minutes. Hef definitely has a sex life."
Shanna MacLaughlin, who posed for the magazine last year, didn't testify to his prowess -- but did say that he deserved better treatment. "I think the whole thing with Crystal is really sad, and Hef is such an amazing man," she tells People. "He provides so much for everyone that's around him and all of the Playmates."
Hefner has certainly been the classier one in the breakup so far, refusing to play it for publicity. He has commented periodically on Twitter, mostly to say that the split caught him by surprise and that Crystal's subsequent negative comments have been lies. He even turned down the opportunity to retaliate against her embarrassing Howard Stern interview.
"Howard Stern would like me to respond to his interview with Crystal on his show tomorrow, but I don't want to throw her under the bus," he tweeted on Wednesday.
Then again, he hasn't exactly been home nursing a broken heart; the world's most envied octogenarian announced on Tuesday that he was "happy to be in a better place with new girlfriends Anna Sophia Berglund and Shera Bechard." Berglund (Miss January 2011) is 25 years old, by the way, and Bechard (Miss November 2011) is 27. As if you couldn't guess!

Glee Spoilers! Who?s Back and Who?s Out for Season 3
This summer has been filled with rumors of the Glee cast disbanding. But fear not Gleeks! Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk was at Comic-Con this weekend and dished to In Touch about all the gossip you need and more. When asked if fan favorites Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith would be back, Brad reassured In Touch with a resounding, ?Absolutely!? And Brad is trying to keep them in the fold for the long run. ?We?ve been talking about this with them for a very long time and we will continue to do that, and I don?t know what?s going to come of it. I don?t want to say, ?I guarantee you that they?re coming back? because they might decide they don?t want to come back. Anything can happen, but our idea is to keep them around because we love them all. We think they?re all incredibly talented.?
But Glee hottie Sam, played by Chord Overstreet, is officially out. ?For reasons he?s aware of, we decided not to make him a regular but we did ask him to come back for a portion of the season. He declined the offer, which we were very disappointed by. Chord decided he had opportunities elsewhere.?
So where does that leave Amber Riley, whose character, Mercedes, was last seen holding hands with Sam? ?Mercedes will have a new boyfriend she met up with this summer. He?s like ?you deserve more, Mercedes,? lifting her up. He?s this big bubba kind of guy.? And keeping the love lives hot as usual, Kurt and Blaine (played by Darren Criss) aren?t breaking up anytime soon. ?They?re not breaking up. They?re solid. They have problems ? you have two stars dating each other, there?s going to be some competition there.? When it comes to kissing, Criss and Colfer have no problem. ?Its magical!? joked Darren. The rumor mill recently churned up some inside info about Criss moving on to Broadway, and In Touch got the story straight from him, ?I can?t confirm that. It?s very cool that it?s even out there. I?m not opposed to the idea.? But, ?Glee has a very hectic schedule. I'm happy to do anything they want, but to be perfectly honest, I think Blaine's been pretty spoiled in his story lines. I got really lucky.?
Brad also told Comic-Con attendees that there?s always room for fan favorite guest stars like Gwyneth Paltrow. ?Anything Gwyneth would want to do, I would say yes to. Who?s going to say no? She?s like a light, and also brings a great energy and that character brings a great energy to the show and she?s a great talent. Everybody absolutely loves her. She works so hard, the cast absolutely loves her.?
This next year at William McKinley High School is going to be better than ever! Maybe the New Directions will win Nationals finally!

'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes' Stars Give Apes Top Billing
Tom Felton, James Franco and other castmembers say come for the apes, stay for the story ... or just the apes.

HOLLYWOOD — There is enough intrigue, presumed destruction and primate shenanigans in the trailers for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" to entice more than just the fans of the 1968 original into theaters when the film opens next week. But when MTV News caught up with the principal castmembers at the Hollywood premiere on Thursday, we asked them to sell us on a few more of the film's must-see elements, aside from their furry co-stars. Basically, if people come to see the apes, what will make them stay?
"Wow, James [Franco], Freida [Pinto], Andy [Serkis], everyone else," Tom Felton said, speaking to his co-stars' appeal. "There is a mixture of CGI and special effects that we've never seen onscreen before, along with a strong story and a strong message: Humans can't play God too much. We should not overstep our boundaries when it comes to manipulating Mother Nature."
Pinto countered that it's all about the apes. "I think this is one of few films that really give them a voice as well," she said. "Of course, 'Planet of the Apes' did as well, but 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' gives them a voice in a very revolutionary way."
One of the prominent primate voices heard is that of Caesar, played by seasoned motion-capture performer Andy Serkis, who, according to Franco, is the main reason why the film is any good.
"The apes, I think Andy Serkis and WETA should get top billing," Franco said. "They stole the show; they're incredible."
Actor John Lithgow, who plays the father of Franco's character, was the only one who thought folks will start out loving the apes and leave loving the humans.
"They [will] stay for the people, and the extent to which the apes become people," he said. "It's a story, it's a great story, that's why they stay."

'Cowboys & Aliens' Nude Scene 'Crazy,' Olivia Wilde Says
Co-star Daniel Craig had to 'look me up and down,' actress explains.

Olivia Wilde might have been covered in dust and dirt while shooting "Cowboys & Aliens," but that didn't make shooting a mostly nude scene in front of her co-star Daniel Craig any less awkward.
"It was kind of strange because I was half-naked in front of a bunch of people, including the crew, a bunch of Apache warriors, a bunch of cowboys, and Daniel Craig, who I had to stand in front of basically naked," Wilde explained to MTV News. "He had to take a moment to sort of look me up and down before covering me in a blanket. And I was like, this is crazy."
It didn't help that after the long night of shooting, Wilde and the rest of the "Cowboys & Aliens" cast had to take an overnight flight to San Diego Comic-Con to make their Hall H presentation. So if fans remember her being a little frazzled, it probably has something to do with the fact Wilde had no sleep after filming a scene in which she was partially nude for the majority of it.
As fans will find out come Friday's release of "Cowboys & Aliens," the scene Wilde is talking about — which has been teased in the film's many trailers — happens at the climax. She said filming the sequence was an "honor" because it is such an important moment in the movie.
"It was really exciting because we knew we were creating something kind of spectacular in that scene," Wilde said. "It was a really cool effect happening, as people will see."
The actress said she didn't wear much make-up and required little hairstyling while filming because the style of the flick was "very bare." She said it was a very dirty shoot, and not just because she was almost naked.
"We were literally dirty because we were riding all day long out in the desert, and you get very dirty. But the dirtier everybody looked, the hotter they looked. It was a really good look, I think," she said.
"The people in the Old West were very dirty. The thing that's unrealistic about our movie is all our teeth: We have good teeth; they didn't have good teeth. So, logic police will call BS on that."

Drew Barrymore Directs Best Coast's New Supervideo: Watch A Sneak Peek Now!

Ever since they released their debut disc, Crazy for You, last summer, Cali fuzz-poppers Best Coast have become your favorite "cool" celebrity's favorite "cool" band, championed by celebs from Miranda Cosgrove to Jimmy Fallon (and just about everyone in between).
So, it should come as no surprise that the Coast's new supervideo for Crazy for You track "Our Deal" is quite the celebrified thing, featuring cameos from the likes of Donald Glover, Alia Shawkat, Chloë Moretz and Tyler Posey ... and as an added bonus, it's directed by the long-reigning Queen of Hollywood Cool: Drew Barrymore.
And while the full "Our Deal" video won't premiere until Tuesday, we're proud to present you with a 30-second sneak peek of the clip right now. And judging from what we've seen so far, much like Best Coast's music, the vid pulls heavily from '50s-style teen dramas — everything from "Rebel Without a Cause" to "Grease" — with Moretz (the breakout star of "Kick-Ass") and Posey (he's the dude from MTV's "Teen Wolf") portraying starstruck lovers who just happen to be members of rival gangs, the "Day Trotters" and the "Night Creepers."
Will Moretz and Posey's love prove stronger than their colors? How many switchblade fights will we see? And how awesome will the inevitable "drag race through the L.A. riverbed" scene be? You'll just have to wait and see, when Best Coast's "Our Deal" video premieres in full Tuesday on MTV.
